Fault Lines was produced, engineered and mixed by Adrian Hall, alongside a core band of Karen Crum (vocals, guitar), Patrick Murdoch (guitars), Tom Williams (bass) and Geoff Holroyde (drums).

Recorded between England and Ireland, the album was built around instinctive live performances rather than click tracks or rigid grids. Sessions moved between Angelic Studios in England and Half Bap Studio in Belfast, where local artists and musicians helped shape the album's cinematic atmosphere through strings, vocals, traditional instrumentation and poetry.

The visual world surrounding the album was developed by Irish ceramic artist Martin McClure, whose clay-based sculptural work helped inspire the tactile identity of the project. The digital identity, inspired by Martin's work, was developed by Billy Martin.
